How a Four-Station Manufacturing Machine Produces Cup Lids
Production Process
This video demonstrates the production process of plastic cup lids using a four-station thermoforming machine. This Four Stations making machine features an integrated design combining mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, with all operational movements controlled by a PLC. The touchscreen interface ensures user-friendly operation. The four stations are: forming, punching, cutting, and stacking.
1. Feeding and Heating: A servo motor feeds the material into the heating zone, with adjustable feeding length. The process is high-speed and precise. The heater uses an intelligent temperature control system with upper and lower heaters and four heating zones. It offers high precision, uniform temperature distribution, and is unaffected by external voltage fluctuations. It has low power consumption (15% energy savings) and ensures a longer service life for the heating furnace.
2. Forming: Upper and lower moulds for moulding. Pressure/vacuum dual-mould moulding. The moulding station adheres the heated plastic sheet to the mould, which is then cooled, demoulded, and sent to the cutting station.
3. Punching: Controlled by a servo motor, the punched material is sent to the stacking station.
4. Stacking: A robotic arm stacks the finished products downward, equipped with a powerful servo automatic stacking system, significantly reducing labour costs.
